Hiccup flew with his companion and family, Toothless, in the sky and sighed as he took breath of what little freedom he had. He knew he had training and flew down to the entrance of the Temple. He got off of his dragon and both walked towards Astrid. Hiccup said with a grin as he took off his helmet, "I see you're working, Priestess." Hiccup had to train to fight off the Nixies and protect his land as he looked at Astrid. Toothless went to his fish feeding bowl and ate the fish as Hiccup asked curiously, "Any good word from our Riders?" He need to know if anything or anyone was against the Nixies and if anyone spoke to the Queen of the Fairies.

An axe was nearly buried in Hiccup's skull before she stopped and breathed "My king I told you not to sneak up on me you know how dangerous that is" she exclaimed breathing heavily before pinching her nose. "I'm assuming you wish to spar or the like? While I don't mind I'd prefer you know a warning or something so you don't get an axe buried in your head don't think the subjects would like that"

Hiccup chuckled and said with a small grin, "I know you Astrid. Besides I think you like the surprises." Hiccup put on his helmet and took out his sword and lit it on fire with the Hideous Zippleback's flammable gas. Hiccup took a stance as Toothless watched and decided to be scorekeeper who got knocked down first. Hiccup said underneath his helmet, "Ready when you are." Hiccup had improved quite a bit from their training and Yu giving him tips in his stance.

Astrid chuckles as she slips into her own stance with her axe before running towards him not swinging with her axe but using it to propel herself forward to kick his legs out from under him. "Whats the first rule of combat Hiccup" she asked as she continued to not let up her relentless assault.

Hiccup answered under his helmet as he defend himself, "Spot your enemy's weakness and used it against him." Hiccup felt through his combat that this was a dance of death as he looked at it. Toothless rolled his eyes as he looked at the two and Hiccup used the environment around him to his advantage as he did in dragon riding. Hiccup asked with a grin under the helmet as he held the ax firmly in place, "Is that a new ax Garret made?"
He loved to banter with Astrid and it made him feel as the days his father ruled the land. Back when they had no worries or hating nixies. He wished that he could go back in time and see his father or mother once more. Toothless tilted his head and knew that his friend missed his parents as he looked at Hiccup. |

"Yeap he was very nice to make it for me too after I smashed the old one" she said laughing a bit as they continued their spar. "So how is ruling the nation going need any advice lie what not to do in a diplomacy meeting like don't belch at the wrong time etcetra?" she said laughing a bit enjoying their time together. their parents were close so they grew up together more or less.

Hiccup protest with a smile as he then pinned her down and took off the helmet, "First, that was payback from Yu for putting leeks in his sweets. Second, if I remember correctly, you give him that idea." Hiccup chuckled and remembered that he got a scolding from his father for burping and saw Yu and Astrid laughing in the hall. He was embarrassed but it was the most fun he ever had. After that he was trained to be the next heir to the throne and become King of the Leprechauns. Toothless covered his face with his claws and peeped to see what would happen after.

Astrid had the urge to blush rising before she flipped him over and pinned him "Pinned ya once you gonna let me do it a second time dragon boy" she teased messing up his already messy hair. "And tell Yu its not my fault he makes it so easy I mean really he should know better then to leave his sweets unattended with me around" she said with a grin

Hiccup chuckled and rested his forehead on Astrid's and sighed. So much time had past and looked out at the sun and said with a grin, "I suppose so." He then looked back at Astrid and smiled as he hugged her from behind and asked curiously with a teasing smile, "I keep forgetting was it you who tried to make an excuse to see me when I was training?" Hiccup knew the answer but he wanted to see how Astrid would react because he loved to not only banter but tease her because of her being serious most of the time.

"Oh hush you know half the time I was bored out of my mind listening to our father's go on and on and on about how we needed to..." she started before launching in an almost perfect imitation of both of their fathers. "Learn to be responsible adults and not play around with swords" she said laughing a bit before lightly punching his shoulder. "Now you can't lie and say you haven't used the excuse of training to see me cause you do it too"

Hiccup chuckled and said truthfully, "Yes I do. Yu and yourself were the only friends I had." Toothless growled out of being insulted and he corrected himself, "Well fairy friends." His dragon growled happily as he went to rest and Hiccup frowned and said worried, "I'm mostly worried about Yu. He hasn't been himself these past days. He keeps asking questions about his past and how do you tell that your friend's father he was the most feared and hated dragon among us?" Hiccup knew the truth to Yu's past because of the Grimm Brothers and said worried, "Sometimes he wouldn't come back at least four days or a week. He wants answers and I don't how he would react."
Hiccup didn't know what to do as Toothless whined at Astrid and nudged his scaly head to go comfort him. His best friend knew that Hiccup needed encouragement even he couldn't speak. |

"Hiccup you ever though about telling hi to take a break you know Toothless doesn't mind me riding him for the exercise. Just get Yu and sit and talk with him you two are best friends I'd sure you can figure something out I promise. Besides if that doesn't work I'll just order him in for combat practice and work it out myself"" she said laughing a bit

Hiccup smiled and hugged his friend as Toothless growled happily. He looked at Astrid and Toothless and said with a grin, "I think we should all get together. Not just titles of our position but good friends." Toothless growled happily as he circled around Astrid and Hiccup like old times. Hiccup smiled and asked with a grin, "What do you say?"

Hiccup smiled and then smirked. He gave Astrid a small kiss on her cheek and put a small craft ring in her hand. He and Toothless ran together and jumped as Hiccup jumped on his friend and headed off to the palace where he tell his royal kitchen staff to start a small feast for his childhood friends.
