Yu Grimm: Origin Stories Part 1

Maleficent was a great ruler to her fairies and treated everyone with kindness and respect. She may have been strict but she treated her subjects as if they were her own family. However her brother, Pitch Black, wanted only the throne and the power that his sister wield. Today, a young thief named Sunset Shimmer was brought to the castle and was waiting for her trial. Maleficent looked down at the half-breed as Pitch Black demanded, "What has this half-breed done?" The castle guard reported as he held the young half-breed girl in chains, "She stole money from the royal treasury, your lordship. The little girl stole fifty pieces of silver." Sunset whimper out of fear of what would happen and to Pitch fear was fine wine that he could savor forever. Pitch looked at Sunset and then to the guard as he commanded, "Behead her!"

Sunset struggled as the guard took her away but before he could The Queen of Nixies yelled, "Stop!" Maleficent walked towards the castle guard and then go to Sunset's eye level as she asked both seriously and quietly, "Is this the first thing you have stolen?" Sunset nodded for she feared Maleficent and closed her eyes of what will happen to her. Maleficent could tell that this girl was not evil but good, as she can tell from her poor clothing and Sunset's eyes. The Queen of Nixies stood up and looked at the guard as she said firmly, "Release her..." The guard was at a lost as was her brother and Pitch Black protest seriously, "Sister, this half-breed stole from us and...!"

Maleficent said seriously as she glared at her brother, "And she has no home or food in her belly! The girl needs this more then we do!" Maleficent's brother went silent as The Queen of the Nixies looked at Sunset as the castle guard released her from her shackles. Maleficent kindly smiled as she said, "May this silver help you and provide for you." Sunset made a soft smile and flew with the silver she had stolen as Pitch growled at frustration from the kindness his sister had. Maleficent needed to talk to her brother privately as she commanded and looked at the castle guard, "Leave us. I wanted to talk to my brother alone."

The guard bowed and left the throne room as The Queen of Nixies sighed out of frustration and worry. Maleficent said seriously as she walked over to her brother, "This has to stop Pitch..." Her brother protested angrily as his sister went by him, "She is a half-breed! Let alone not our kind! If you keep being this nice...!" Pitch's sister turned around and yelled angrily as she raised her unique fairy wings, "And what?! Rule my fairies through fear?! No brother! That is your desire!"

Maleficent's brother growled as she turned her back on him and collected his dark magic to make a scythe. Before Pitch could stuck his sister down, Maleficent raised her staff to block his attack. Pitch gasped as Maleficent raised her other hand and used her magic to send her brother against the stone wall of the castle and wrapped him in the royal banner to hold him down. Maleficent said quietly and with anger as she aimed her staff at him, "The reason why you live is because of your daughter, Celeste. Remember that...my brother."

The Queen of the Nixies waved her hand and released Pitch as he gasped and choked from the lack of air in his body. Pitch asked as he rubbed his neck and stood up from the fall from the banner, "Where are you going...my sister?" Maleficent looked back to her brother and said seriously, "I'm going to see someone very powerful...One who will solve my problem..." The Queen of Nixies muttered as she took off to see the King of all Dragons, "One who will have the right to my throne..."
