Yu Grimm: Origin Stories Part 3

Pitch had used his dark magic to find Smaug's hideout and bellowed as his voice echoed in the rough terrain walls, "Smaug! King of the Dragons! I summon you!" Pitch had waited for the dragon his sister had helped her and Smaug emerged from the mountain of gold coins as he growled low and sniffed out Pitch's scent. Smaug asked as he looked down on the Nixie, "And who are you, thief?" Pitch explained seriously as he looked at the mighty dragon, "I am no thief. I am Pitch Black and I think we could help each other." Smaug chuckled lowly as he smirked and asked curiously, "And why should I help a Nixie like yourself?" Pitch then said with a grin, "Because I know what you want. You want your son and I want my throne." Smaug was outraged by hearing this and having never to seen his newborn son was more than he could bare. Pitch asked with a small smile, "So, King of Dragons, do we have an agreement?"

Maleficent hummed a lullaby to her newborn son as her son giggled and gurgled. The Queen of Nixies loved her son as she put him in his cradle. She then heard panic and screaming her kingdom as she saw her whole kingdom in flames. Smaug was destroying the Nixies's home and their loved one as well. Maleficent was furious and flew into the sky as she yelled angrily, "We had an agreement!" Smaug bellowed angrily as he crushed the Nixies's homes with his claws, "That agreement was nothing but betrayal!" Maleficent used her magic to protect her kingdom as she and Smaug fought. Pitch however was in his nephew's play room and chuckled as he looked down at him. Pitch said quietly as looked down at Draco, "Oh poor nephew. It would seem it is time to say goodbye."

Pitch took out his dragger and slashed the blankets and curtains to make it look like that Smaug had taken his son back. Pitch then picked up his nephew as Draco had cried loudly and his mother had heard that awful sound. Maleficent bellowed in fear, "Draco!" Before she could get to her son, Draco knocked Maleficent out with his tail and send her to a broken Nixie house. Pitch saw Smaug coming towards him and the dragon landed in front of him and asked seriously without patience, "Our bargain?" Pitch handed Draco to Smaug and said with a small grin, "One son as promised." Smaug carried his son his mouth as he cried and flew off with his son.

Maleficent woke up and found her kingdom destroyed from the rage and destruction that Smaug had created. However, that was the least of Maleficent's worries, the Queen of Nixies flew to where her son was supposed to be but found nothing but a destroyed room and an empty cradle. Maleficent fell to her knees and cried out of pain and sorrow as tears fell like drops of rain. Maleficent had not only lost her kingdom but her son as well. Maleficent went to her throne but her brother was sitting on her throne and demanded angrily, "What is the meaning of this?" Pitch chuckled and said with a smirk, "A new change for our fairies, dear sister. However you're not a part of that change." The castle guards grabbed Maleficent and held her down as she yelled angrily, "Traitors!"

Maleficent was then thrown out of her own kingdom as Pitch looked down at his sister who was on the ground and said with a smirk, "Its such a shame, sister. To see you fallen from so high." The former Queen of Nixies demanded confused, "What are you talking about?" Pitch chuckled as he took out a stone that glowed purple and Maleficent gasped as his brother laughed. Pitch said with a grin as he held the stone in his hand, "Oh, I'm so happy you remember these, sister. The memory stones, capable of giving and taking certain memories you desire." Maleficent then figured it out and said quietly in shock, "You took their memories of me..."

Pitch said with a grin as he showed off the memory stone, "Yes...and they will never have them back as long as I keep their memories in this stone." Pitch then put the memory stone his clock as his sister stood up slowly and said angrily, "I swear...my brother...I will stop you." Pitch chuckled and said with a grin as he disappeared into the shadows, "You're welcome to try."

Maleficent groaned out in pain for the wounds she had receive from Smaug as she tried to stand up and fell as she breathed raggedly. Maleficent's vision was blurry but she could make out a small girl yelling in panic, "Mommy! Mommy! There's a nixie on the ground!" Maleficent's vision blacked out as she felt she had given up hope for her kingdom and son. Maleficent slightly opened her eyes to see where she was as she groan in pain and the little girl gasped with delight as she said, "Oh, you're up! Good morning!"

Maleficent looked at the child and asked curiously while looking around, "Who are you and where am I?" The little fairy said with a smile, "My name is Flora and Mommy helped you get all better!" Maleficent looked at the child and then heard the door opening and looked to see a young woman with a smile on her face, "I see you have met my daughter." Flora giggled and said with a smile, "Your medicine made it all better mommy!" Flora's mother smiled and said as she looked at Maleficent, "Welcome to the Sylph Kingdom"

Maleficent looked at the child and her mother and made a small sad smile as she said, "Thank you for saving me." Flora's mother said with a smile as she looked down at her daughter, "Flora, could you go get mommy some flowers that bloom like the sun?" Flora giggled and nodded as she head off to find what she was told to do. Flora's mother looked at Maleficent and asked with concern and seriousness, "May I ask a favor of you?" Maleficent asked curiously as she looked at Flora's mother, "A favor?"

Flora's mother nodded her head and asked seriously as she looked at Maleficent, "Would you watch over my daughter?" The former Queen of Nixies was surprised to hear this request and asked curiously, "Why? Couldn't you get one of the other Sylphs to help you with that task?" Flora's mother shook her head and said seriously with concern, "No. I think that its best for her to understand the different races through you and your magic and not only that we have very little time left." Maleficent looked down at her hands and knew what she must do and said as she looked at Flora's mother, "I will."
