Personality: Selene is a focused and driven girl. That appears to be a strong lone wolf type of girl due to the fact that she doesn't want people to get hurt by her and due to her curse, she has to obey Pitch's commands when in her Nightmare form. Then her heart becomes colder and she becomes even more distant. In truth she wants to be done with her job and someday prove to her mother that she has what it takes to succeed her mission in Alfheim. She is a strong hearted girl.
Backstory: Selene is the only daughter of the Goddess Celestia, the same goddess that gave Twilight and Rarity the power to conceal their true forms in exchange for Madoka's eyesight. Selene was left upon the earth with her little sister Maria. One night when Maria and Selene were little they were playing within the world tree. Selene overheard Pitch talking to the king and a little girl almost ruined his plans for Oberon. Pitch went after the little girl and cursed her to become one of his first ever creatures of darkness, a nightmare.
Selene returned to the temple and for the first time ever changed into her nightmare form. She was unaware of what happened that night only when she woke up Maria was dead and her mother had appeared to tell her daughter off. Selene has spent her whole life trying to prove herself to her mother and the rest of it in fear. She worries about the king and if the land will ever escape this so called nightmare.
