Loki was studying his magic and see what potential he could unlock. It wouldn't be the first time that his magic unlocked a new element for him to control. He read more books to find a way to try to break this dark aura he felt over the King. He knew that something was wrong and that he need to figure out how he could do it. Loki grumbled as he looked at each and every book he could find. Loki threw book after book and said out of frustration, "I need the royal book of curses...however I doubt the Alf King would be willing to part with such a book." Loki groaned out of frustration as he looked at the photo of his friends and wondered how they were doing. He missed the freedom he once had and wondered when things would be back to the way they were.

Kitty look down from a window as she smile. She pooh behind him as she landing on his shoulder as she was in cat form. "What are you doing Loki" asked Kitty as she bat her tail in his face. She love playing with people in her cat form as her daddy use to do with other people when he was young. Kitty jump down from his shoulder as she change into human form as she walk around.

Loki sighed as he scratched at the back of his head and said annoyed, "I've tried to find a way to break the King's curse. I felt an dark aura over him the last time I met him with Jack." Loki looked at Kitty and said frustrated, "Sometimes I think every time I find the right piece to the puzzle...another piece doesn't fit." He then laid back into his chair and rubbed his eyes from all the reading he had did. He wondered if he could ever accomplish his goal.

Kitty walk over to him as she look at him. "One life isn't all about work" said Kitty with a smile. She didn't care much for work as she did like to have fun. "Two relax and enjoy life when you can" said Kitty as she mess up his hair.

Loki sighed and put Kitty's hands on each side of his head. Loki said as he closed his eyes, "Massage my head...Maybe I can find an idea." He just breathed evenly and let Kitty do her magic. He always liked her massaging his scalp so he could find the solution to figure out his problems.

Loki looked up at her and said after he sighed, "You're frowning again." Loki knew when Kitty frowned that something was on her mind and asked as he looked up at her then closed his eyes, "What is it? What's on your mind?" Loki knew that kitty had a lot on her mind considering her father had a twenty-four hour job and hardly see her. He knew that yet he had a duty to uphold and that came before anything else before his own feelings.

Kitty stop as she walk in front of him as she toke a seat on the floor. She place her hands on his legs. "Why can't you enjoy my company Loki" asked Kitty. He did know her to well and sometimes that scared her. "But if you must know, why haven't you return mine feeling for you. And don't act like you have none for me after all these years" said Kitty.

Loki sighed and said seriously, "Look around you, Kitty. We are at war." Loki explained seriously as he point at his books, "These books contain very powerful magic and I have to keep them from falling into Pitch's hands. If they do..." Loki put hand on her cheek and whispered with care and seriousness, "I'll lose the one thing I treasure more then the jewels of all of Alfheim..." Loki rested his forehead and said quietly in pain, "I just can't go through it...not again..."
Loki lost his parents and couldn't save Jack's little sister due to the illness that once spread in this land. Loki was lucky enough to save himself but at a price he took for granted. |

"You don't think i know that Loki" yelled Kitty as she slap his hand away from her cheek. "You may be able to cut the world off Loki but life happens and you keep forgetting that" She look at the book's. "So what if Pitch get his hand's on there, who care" asked Kitty as she turn her back to him.

Loki yelled angrily and with concern, "It would end for all of Alfheim! Not just this land! He would become unstoppable!" Loki said seriously as looked at the barrier he set up the land, "I'm protecting them! I'm protecting you!" Loki's magic was based on emotion and the temple's walls were cracking as Loki saw this. Loki went to the walls and muttered a spell to repair them. He looked at Kitty and said seriously, "I will not let history repeat itself." Loki knew that everyone was counting on him to make sure that Pitch and his forces would not break the barrier he had set up for the land. He would protect the people of Spriggan and make sure he would do whatever it took.

Kitty look up at the walls that they crack with him yelling at her as she watch them turn back to normal like nothing happened to the wall. "I don't need any protection Loki, I can take care of myself" said Kitty as she walk over to him. "Loki you know that I care deeply for you but I can't live my life this way" Kitty what'd to be free but her love couldn't stand being lock up in this place.

Loki sighed and held her close and said quietly, "I know...I know." Loki then said quietly, "I'll try...Don't expect much but...I'll try." Loki was willing to try and ask his friend Jack if he could take some time off and find a way for the barrier to be up without him.

Kitty rub his hand with her hands as he holds on to her. "That all that I can asked for" said Kitty as she place a kiss on his head. She watch that they could be more but she would take this over the fighting.

Loki knew that when this war was over he could be himself once more, the man Kitty wanted. But he knew that his duty must come first and then the little enjoyments that he can have second. But he would try for her to make time for her sake and his. To rid of the vision he had when he was a child but he couldn't ignore it. It was a blur but he needed to go to someone who understand the vision he had. It was a troublesome vision and he would have to make preparations for the journey ahead.
