Yu shook her hand and said seriously, "I swear on my family's name." His stomach then growled to break the tension and looked away. Yu had never been embarrassed in his life, sure his secret of holding big stuffed animals was bad, but this would be the worst. He apologized with a blush, "I'm sorry. This has never happened before." He didn't like showing his weak side to complete strangers let alone a young woman.

Celeste nodded, "Very well." she said, gesturing to the boy with a finger to follow her down the castle hall. The nixie castle was in fact huge compared to how it looked on the outside. The maids and servants bowed to her as she walked through the halls. "I shall make sure that the servants keep your entrance a secret." She said as they reached the kitchen.

Yu sniffed the air and saw the sugar skulls. He licked his lips and said seriously with a hint of happiness as he stared at the sweets, "I could died happy." He was about to take one until one of the chef's slapped his hand with a wooden spoon as he growled. Yu glared at the chief and said grumpy, "I swear. Its no different then Sunset Bakery. He wouldn't let me have one." Yu's hunger for sweets would take over his listen of reasoning and he looked at Celeste and asked curiously, "Are all your royal chiefs like this? If I didn't know better I 'd say I was back home with my uncle."

Celeste looked at the chefs before smiling and taking a plate of sugar skulls and a cup of a tea. The chef smiled and bowed to the princess not slapping her hand away. "The chefs can be picky but it is mainly because you are not a resident here. It is royalty that they respect." she said, taking a sugar skull and popping it her mouth.

Yu took a sugar skull and bit as he paused to taste it and see what kind of other sweets that was on it. Yu commented as he ate the sugar skull, "This is quite good. Your chefs used crystallize honey instead of gummies for their eyes." He pulled out the crystallize honey eye out and dunk it in a cup of tea, Yu then took a bite out of the dipped crystallize honey eye and commented, "Honey is in season and has a small hint of rose."
He was a critique when it came to new sweets he come across, he then licked the frosting and commented, "Frosting was just made. My guess that is your royal kitchen staff was out of frosting this morning." Yu then drink a cup of tea he poured for himself and said with a smile, "Oolong tea. Leaves were grounded yesterday with a professional grind."

Celeste couldn't help but give a coy smile. "Of course they do, they have to if they want to live." she said, calmly and innocently. "Kidding of course. I help with the menus from time to time. I have a soft spot for sweets, so it is only natural that they are the best." Concited? Maybe. But in her world, being princess was one step from being queen.
The princess of darkness fixed her own tea. Not Oolong. "I prefer Royal Milk Tea myself." she said taking a sip.

Yu glared at the leeks that one of the chefs was cooking. He hated leeks ever since he was a child and was on pins and needles when leek soup was in front of him. He ate another sugar skull to try to distract himself from the leeks. Yu groaned as he smell the leeks cooking and because of being half dragon it's worse when he has heighten senses. Yu said grumpy as he ate sugar skull, "The enemy is among us."

Celeste sighed. "Relax, if you really are that concerned about the food then why are you still here?" she asked, her eyes narrowing a bit and her voice getting a bit tense as if annoyed. This kid, soemthing about him bothered her maybe it was because he seemed to find everything around here that bothered him.
"Is there something else you wanted?"

Yu gasped and then stood up. He bowed and said kindly, "Thank you for your services." He then looked back and said with a small smile, "By the way, you look better when you smile, like you did in the garden." He grew out his black leather dragon wings and took off. Little did he know he dropped his pendant of a dragon resembling Smaug that kept his dragon side in check.

Celeste gave a tiny smile. "Thank you, and if those merchants give you trouble again, tell them that the princess vouches for you." she gave a small curtsy. Her eyes lingered to the pendant on the ground. The girl gave a sigh. Must she be responsible for everything? Oh well. Picking it up, she placed it carefully in her jewelry box until the boy if he should return came seeking for it.
