The leader of the Pixies stumbled slightly into drawing room, collapsing into the nearest chair in exhaustion. She had just created the barrier that would protect the Pixie territory, a choice she was beginning to find a drastic problem with. She'd spread her light into the stone guardians before, but not at the intensity she had just accomplished. It would leave her drained for a while, which led her to her next order of business. She'd need to make sure that the temple was secured by it's protector. She waited patiently for the young half-ling, not minding if she was a few minutes late or not.

Colette came running inside, she had lost track of time when she had gone out of the temple to look around. She hadn't been out on the town for awhile and wondered if things had changed. People looked worried but nothing more than that. Almost tripping on her own feet, the halfling noticed her queen waiting patiently for her.
"Good afternoon Your majesty." Colette said with a bow

Kida turned her head and lazily opened her eyes to look up at the young fairy. A delighted smile graced her lips as she sat up straight. "Ah, there you are. I was beginning to worry." she teased, stealthily hiding the panicked concern in her voice. The queen stood from her seat, wobbling slightly before walking over to Colette.

Colette looked worried. "Are you alright?" she asked, rushing to help. "Are you not feeling well?" If the queen of the pixies got sick that was quite a concern, not just to her but to everyone else in the kingdom. Pixies could heal so it was hard for him to get sick but maybe this was different. "Is there anything I can do to help."

Kidas's eyes softened as she gently pet the temple guardian's hair, shaking her head in response to Colette's questions. "No child, I am fine. Just a tad weak is all. Giving that much light away will leave me weak for quite a while." she explained, smiling weakly. "Just stay by my side, for now, incase I fall." The young fairy's concern made her doubts slip away. If the stone guards could protect Colette and the people, she'd gladly give her life for their safety.

Colette nodded, knowing very well that this was a request that even she wouldn't turn away. "It's the barrier isn't it?" she asked. "I guess it takes a lot of energy..." her eyes went up to the ceiling. "Maybe I could help, I mean I know i am still just a kid but I could help give some of my energy to it..." It was a long shot, after all she wasn't full pixie anymore. But maybe Alf energy could make the barrier last longer.
"Is there any word from the other kingdoms?"

Kida nodded silently, her eyebrows furrowing a little at Colette's offer. "I couldn't possibly ask you to do that. The barriers are an unstable system of take and give. It might take more energy than you planned to give." she said beginning to walk slowly back to the chair she was found in. With a soft sigh she shook her head. "I've heard nothing but proposals of becoming allies solely to further the strength of another kingdom's army." She sat down carefully and rested her forehead into the palm of her hand. "I worry for the Pixies, Colette. Some are itching to join the battle..."

Colette frowned, she didn't want a war either. What would be the point of it? Oberon had given her her powers, to go to war against him. It just seemed wrong. "I am sure not all the kingdoms want this, I mean the Imps seem to be in peace," she said thinking back on it. Though the truth could have been because the princess had not had her coronation yet.
"There has to be something we can do. We can't just give up."

The queen nodded in agreement, rubbing at her temples with her thumb and index fingers. "I certainly don't plan to surrender to this asinine falling out. My main concern is the Leprechauns." Kida peered out the large window the face to the South, her eyebrows furrowing a little bit deeper, "You know as well as I that we haven't been the most civil to each other over the years."
She scowled slightly as she remembered something Eris had told her earlier today. A band of Pixies were planning on sneaking out of the territories in order to fight sometime in the nearby future. That is something Kida won't allow. She looked back towards the young temple guardian. "Colette, I need you to do something for me..."

Colette stood straight ready to listen to the queens' request. "Of course, anything I can do to help." Excitement filled her mind, what would she have to do? Would she be able to help stop the idea of the war in the land. It was the least she could do. As a protector of the Pixie temple, she was willing to do anything to bring peace to the land

A light chuckle slipped from Kida's lips followed by a small smile. "Now don't get too excited. It's not like I'm sending you on a reconnaissance mission..." The queen leaned forward in her seat and looked closely at the young guardian. "What I need you to do is just this one task. I need you to watch the borders from the temple." Her gaze slipped back out towards the window. "Make sure that no large groups leave the territory. Especially those with a large cache of weapons. If you do, signal Eris with your light. " she explained.

Colette nodded, it might not seem like an important mission to others, but to her it was a chance to do something important as temple guardian. It was her role to protect and that was what she would do. "Of course." Colette said bowing slightly, her smile still there but there was a certain seriousness behind it. "I shall do this job well, milady. But if you don't mind me asking, do you think that someone would try to attack us?"

The pixie's expression became grim as she considered the guardians inquiry. She rested her head against her hand and sighed with exhaustion. "I believe so...A captive pixie forced to heal the injured in exchange for keeping their life, that seems the most common reason as to why we might be attacked." She looked at Colette and smiled gently. "Let's just hope it doesn't come to that, though."

Colette nodded, she had thought about that possiblity but who in their right mind would harm a pixie with their powers? It was just cruel. Some people were beyond the balance of good and evil though. "I shall do my best milday." she said giving a small salute to the woman. "Is there anything else that i should do?"

Kida smiled tiredly and shook her head. "No, child, I would ask you to stay, but I fear I might pass out very soon." She stood up and walked over to the guard. She brushed Colette's hair lightly with her fingertips and reassured the temple guardian. "Just do what you normally do and keep on the lookout for deserters."
